FAQs

The session favoriting feature is a useful tool for attendees to pre-select which sessions they are interested in attending. There is no official "registering" for sessions. Individuals can select whichever session they would like to attend up until the moment of the session.

Where is the lactation room? 
The lactation room will be located in the Gold Office, level one, near the Ehibit Hall. It will be open the same time registration is open, with the exception of it closing Friday 12:00 - 2:30pm.   

How many PDUs can I earn for Poster Sessions?
Important note regarding PDUs for Friday and Saturday Poster Sessions: Each 30-minute grouping of presentation time is worth ½ (.5) PDU. In order structure the surveys and codes for all posters they are represented as .25 PDU each in the Conference app. The maximum number of posters surveys that can be completed each day is four (4). When you enter the sessions for recertification purposes, the total allowed will be 1 PDU per day/ for each overall Poster Session as based on the above. When you enter these units into your Member Portal please select a single domian for each PDU, you will not be able to enter them individually.

Will all the conference sessions be recorded?
12 sessions will be pre-recorded and available to purchase as the 2025 Conference Lightning Pass. Individuals who purchase this package will have access to view the sessions and earn the PDUs for one year from the date of purchase. The Conference Lighting Pass is $89 and only available as an add-on for conference attendees through 5/25/2205. The Conference Lightning Pass will be available to the child life community on June 9, 2025 for the member rate of $249.

How do I use Wordly at Conference?
Steps to Use Wordly at Conference:
1. Scan the Wordly QR Code above
2. Select from over 25 languages
3. Click Attend
4. Start reading the translated captions
5. Use earphones with the app when listening to the translation. Please ensure your ringer is set to ON.

Will there be a virtual conference this year?
No, there will not be a live virtual conference. Instead, 12 sessions from the conference will be pre-recorded and made available to purchase as the 2025 Conference Lightning Pass. The Conference Lighting Pass is $89 and only available as an add-on for conference attendees through 5/25/2205. The Conference Lightning Pass will be available to the child life community on June 9, 2025 for the member rate of $249

Can Non-Member Students Register for Conference?
Non-member students are encouraged to become members to register. Otherwise, please contact conference@childlife.org from your .edu account for further assistance.

How do presenters register with a discount?
Presenters are offered a discount code for registration that will be shared via conference email communications. If you do not receive a code, please contact conference@childlife.org.

How do I select my sessions for conference?
Attendees are strongly encouraged to star the sessions they plan to attend on the conference site/app. The conference planning committee uses these selections to assign rooms. Please note that favoring a session will not guarantee you a seat in that session.

Who can utilize the Group Registration Discount?
Group Registration Discounts are for individuals employed by the same organization. All individuals must be registered in a single transaction and paid for at the time by a single payee or company. They are for full-price member or nonmember registrations only.

Will there be poster presentations this year? 
Yes, there will be in-person poster presentations at this year’s conference. Attendees can view these posters live and earn PDUs for the posters. The posters are only available to view LIVE at conference.

How many PDUs can I earn for attending the full conference?
Attendees will earn a minimum of 17 PDUs for participating in the full conference. PDUs are in all content domains.

Who qualifies to purchase the California Resident Attendee Day Pass?
The local day pass can only be purchased by a California resident. These can only be purchased onsite on the day the pass is being purchased. Local day passes can be purchased at the Registration Desk. For example: The day pass can be purchased for Friday, May 23 starting at 7:00am when the registration desk opens. The single-day rate will apply for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Individuals can purchase a day pass for as many days of the conference as they would like.

Will there be meals at this year's conference?
The following meals are included in your conference registration. All other meals are on your own. 

Thursday, May 22: For pre-conference attendees:
Full-day intensives include a box lunch and breaks
Half-day intensive includes an AM or PM break

Friday, May 23: (10:15 am - 11:15 am), Energize & Engage Break (light breakfast food & drinks)
Friday, May 23: (12:30 pm - 2:45 pm), Lunch in the exhibit hall
Friday, May 23: (5:00 pm - 6:30 pm), Welcome Reception (Hors d'Oeuvres)

Saturday, May 24: (9:30 am - 10:30 am), Energize & Engage Break (light breakfast food & drinks)
Saturday, May 24: (11:45 am - 2:00pm), Lunch in the exhibit hall


What is the registration cancellation policy?

Full Conference Registrations:
Requests received on or before 2/28/2025 will be refunded minus a $50 admin fee
Requests received between 3/1/2025 and 4/18/2025, 50% of reg fees paid will be refunded
No refunds will be honored for requests received after 4/18/2025

Intensive Registration:
Requests received on or before 2/28/2025 will be refunded minus a $50 admin fee
Requests received between 3/1/2025 and 4/18/2025, 50% of reg fees paid will be refunded
No refunds will be honored for requests received after 4/18/2025

All cancellation requests must be received in writing and sent to conference@childlife.org.
